Coach Rogers' Bio
Jessica Rogers—who played at UTSA under Coach Cook—is the best power hitter in UTSA history. With a .384 career batting average (second highest in school history), she holds school records for career hits (281), RBIs (192 / SLC record), runs (169), and home runs (69 / SLC record), as well as single-season records for home runs (23 in 2005) and RBIs (64 in 2005). Her performance at the plate earned her 2005 Southland Conference Player of the Year and Hitter of the Year accolades, three-time NFCA All-Region honors, and four-time first-team All Southland Conference honors.
While Rogers’ on-field performance was impressive, she also held herself to high standards in the classroom, earning ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American First Team (2005) and Third Team (2007) honors, three-time first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI honors (2005–2007), and three-time Southland Conference Student-Athlete of the Year (2005–2007); she was also one of 20 national finalists for the 2007 Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award. Rogers is one of only two players in Roadrunner softball history to have their number retired.
Coach Rogers currently coaches the NPF Texas Charge.
